Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data we collect through dinevise.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the pilot interest form. It does not cover the DineVise product itself, which is still in development and will have its own terms when pilots start.
1. Who we are
DineVise is restaurant management software being developed by its founders, Andreas Ptochopoulos and Flavio Strianese. The DineVise company is being incorporated. Until it is, the founders run this website and the pilot register and act as joint controllers of your personal data. Once the company is incorporated it will become the controller, and we will update this notice.
Contact for anything in this notice: hello@dinevise.com.
2. What we collect
When you register interest in the pilot: your first name, last name, work email, restaurant name, number of locations, your consent choice and the time you sent the form.
When you visit the site: our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working.
We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Replying to your registration and discussing whether a pilot suits your restaurant | Steps you asked us to take before any agreement (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in running the pilot programme (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Sending you pilot and product updates by email | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given with the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw it at any time. |
| Keeping the website secure | Our legitimate interest in protecting the site (Article 6(1)(f)) |
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
4. Who we share it with
Only the founders and the people working on the pilot can see your details. We also use these service providers, who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- HighLevel (United States): customer relationship management, where pilot registrations are stored and emails are sent from.
- Microsoft Azure: website hosting.
- GoDaddy: our email service.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to a future DineVise company that takes over the pilot programme. If that happens, this notice will be updated.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers store or access data outside the UK, including in the United States. When that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep pilot registrations for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you join a pilot (then the pilot agreement applies) or ask us to delete them sooner. Hosting logs are kept by Microsoft for its standard security period.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to updates at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us. We will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
8. Changes to this notice
We will update this page if anything changes, for example when the DineVise company is incorporated. The date at the top shows the latest version.
